Auditions: Almost, Maine

AUDITION – Thursday, October 21, 2021  6:00 p.m.

SHOW DATES: February 11-19, 2022

Almost, Maine is a play by John Cariani, comprising nine short vignettes that explore love and loss in a remote, mythical almost-town called Almost, Maine.

Relationships end, begin, or change beyond recognition, as strangers become friends, friends become lovers, and lovers turn into strangers.

There are 19 roles in the play. It was written to be performed by four actors (two male, two female) playing the various parts. But, depending on how the auditions go, we will expand the size of the cast to meet the play’s needs.

There will be roles for actors, both male and female, who can portray characters ranging in age from late teens or early 20s into their 60s.

The copies of the play will be available at the AMP Box Office. The play is also available online at

Auditions will consist of readings from the script.  If you would like to audition but cannot make it on October 21, please feel free to contact director Frank O’Donnell at
