In the “Mean Girls High School Version,” Cady Heron, a naive girl who grew up in Africa, transfers to a suburban Illinois high school and unwittingly becomes entangled with the popular clique known as “The Plastics,” led by the manipulative Regina George; as Cady attempts to climb the social ladder, she learns the harsh realities of high school popularity and the consequences of betraying her true self, ultimately realizing the importance of authenticity and kindness.
