Auditions for the musical Annie will be held on Monday, April 13 at Amelia Musical Playhouse.
Kids auditioning to be an orphan or Annie will start at 5:00pm
Orphans roles are for age 8 and up, and no taller than 5’2″!
Adults will follow at 6:00 pm
You will sing 1 minute of a song of your choice.
Those auditioning for the role of Annie should sing “Maybe” in the original key.
Show dates are August 14,15,16,21,22,27,28,29 at 7:30 pm and August 16,23,30 at 2:30 pm.
We will possibly double cast the role of Annie and the Orphans.
There are many parts for all ages. The ensemble roles include the folks in Hooverville, the staff at the Warbucks mansion, the radio show, and FDR’s Cabinet. Some of these roles have speaking parts, a few solos, all sing as a group.
Featured roles are Annie, Daddy Warbucks, Grace, Miss Hannigan, Rooster & Lily, and Star to Be. There are 6 named orphans: Molly, Kate, Pepper, July, Duffy, and Tessie. There are also ensemble orphans who will be named later. We also need a dog, Sandy.
If you are not able to audition on April 13 you may submit a video audition no later than April 10, or contact Jill Dillingham at AMP to schedule a private audition date.
