Set in the 1590s, Something Rotten! Teen Edition follows brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom as they struggle to find success in the shadow of the Renaissance rockstar, William Shakespeare. Filled with humor, heart, and show-stopping musical numbers, this production offers a fun and energetic experience for teen performers.
Who Can Audition:
Teens ages 12-18 interested in acting, singing, and dancing. No prior experience required.
What to Prepare:
- A short song (16-32 bars) from a musical that showcases vocal range and personality.
- Bring sheet music or a backing track (no a cappella auditions).
- Bring a list of scheduling conflicts.
- Be prepared for a short dance combination and cold readings from the script.
Rehearsal Schedule:
Rehearsals will begin in early January and will typically be held on weekday evenings and some weekends.
Performance Dates:
Performances will take place in March 2025 at Amelia Musical Playhouse.
